Issue in the search

Hi All,

I have two spaces with identical content. When I search both spaces with a key word say "Oracle", the search omits some results in 1 space.

For example, space A shows 5 results but space B shows only 2 although the other 3 pages exist in space B too.

Any idea why this is?

Nothing *should* be different, if the following are true:

1) The user you are logged in under has permissions to view all content -- and that individual pages do not have restrictions set on them

2) The content has the same labels

3) The content was created around the same time -- or if some content was created sooner, that you have indexed it before searching (make sure auto-indexing is on, or kick off a manual index)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Here's a page that explains ranking that might be of some help:

Thanks for the reply Matthew Horn.

I was able to fix the issue by rebuilding the indexing of confluence's search.
