Hi all,
In Confluence the search index can be rebuilded manually with Confluence Admin -> Administration -> Content Indexing -> Rebuild.
Am i right that the scheduled job "Flush Index Queue" does the same thing?
The Problem is that if we delete a page it can still be found in the search. The result is the user gets a message "Page Deleted -A page with this title has been deleted. Contact your space administrator if you would like it restored."
If i rebuild the content index manually the search result for the deleted page vanished.
Is the scheduled job "flush index queue" not working properly or what is the problem there?
I need a scheduled job because i do not want to rebuild the content index manually all the time.
Confluence Version: 5.4.1
Regards,
Kevin
Hello Kevin,
Your approach on reindexing manually is absloutly correct.
The search index is maintained automatically except for some circumstance that explained in documentation.
Anyway I understand your Confluence fails to process index queue automatically. If I've misunderstood what you're looking to achive, please let me know.
I would recommend you to take a look at this KB. If it is your problem I would also recommend you to backup from your database and product instance before following the workaround.
Cheers,
Saleh
