Hi
We're looking at the cloud based Confluence offering for our companies KB. We need integration with either AD (via LDAP) or Google Apps and looking at it AD/LDAP is more workable.
Is LDAP authentication supported and workable on the OnDemand version of Confluence or should we look at hosting it ourselves (which we can but I'd rather not have to host it here if we didn't have to) ?
Olly
Hi Olly,
Google Apps is able to be integrated into OnDemand, there are a few considerations to make when setting up your instance, but this is all covered in https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Integrating+OnDemand+with+Google+Apps.
LDAP is not currently supported for the OnDemand instances, but this improvement has been raised and you can vote and track here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AOD-1837
If LDAP was your only solution and you wanted to start straight away I would recommend investigating the use of the installed version of Confluence.
Cheers,
Paul
