LabelManager function no longer works in Confluence's User Macro

Hi all,
Atlassian has deprecated the labelManager function from code paths. Has anyone found an alternative to this?

Worked in 8.x.x but has stopped working on versions 9.0.0+

I've used ScriptRunner Marcors as a workaround.
