The How-to Article template enables the user to enter the labels before creating the new page. Is there a way I can get this capability into my own template?
Thanks,
Anthony
Hi Sattesh,
Thanks for replying. Unfortunately, the text notes and text variables don't really serve my current need (although I use them). As for the fixed labels. I use them for all of my templates. However, the labels I affix only tell part of the story since the users work on different products and projects. So, they need to add their product and project labels to their document to make it fully searchable without a hierarchical construction. And while adding labels after the doc is generated is possible, it's an additional step in the process, which results in people forgetting to do it or just not bothering. The one click / step model is what I'm looking for.
Best regards,
Anthony
Hello Anthony,
I don't think you can have that pop-up for our own templates, but if you add in variables like below in your own template, you should get a page that asks you to key in some information.
Plus, if you would like a template to automatically have a label, you can edit the template, and click on the label icon near the top right of the template page, and any pages created using that template will have the label automatically set for it.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Sattesh
