Hello!
We need lock attachments and (or) page if somebody their open for editing. How to do it by standard means or need buy plugins?
Thanks for the answers!
Hi Viktar,
What do you mean by "lock attachments and (or) page"? Could you explain it or describe some use case?
Hi,
It looks like this issue was not resolved, but i think i have the same question.
What is the best way to allow only one user at a time to edit an attachment on a confluence page?
For example, we're using the excel macro, but if multiple users try to edit the spreadsheet at the same time, they are not notified/prompted that anyone else has the attachment opened - and when they save and close the file, the last one to save, is the current/visible version.
We'd like to lock out everyone else from editing the spreadsheet, until one active user has saved and closed.... similar to a network folder situation which tells the user someone else is in the file and they can only view the file read-only. Ideas? Is this possible?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Cynthia,
did you find a solution for this problem? I can't believe that so few people have an interest in it.
Here is a Feature Request. You can vote for it.

As there is no Confluence native way of locking attachments, one solution is to use this paid plugin:
