Macro Usage report for a single space

brendan_long November 23, 2022

Hi Folks,

I'm running Confluence 7.13.8 - is there a way to generate a report for a particular space that shows the list of macros/apps that are used in that space only? We have somebody who is looking to move some content to another confluence instance and they need to understand how many apps they would be bringing across so that they can budget for it.

Regards,

Brendan

Hi @brendan_long .

you may try one of these options, but both of them will take some efforts:

  • Use Confluence search as described here - this may take a long time, depending on the total amount of available macros as you'll have to check them one by one.
  • Create a test instance with all apps installed in the production site and import the space in question to that test instance (as the only space). You'll see the apps and their macros via General Configuration → Macro Usage.

Hope that helps!

Kind regards,

Nicolai

Hi Brendan,

Welcome to the community!

Unfortunately there is no easy way to get a report of all macros and apps for a particular space.

The best option that we have is by using the Space Activity to get more information about that particular space:

Please give it a try and let me know if it at least helps with some information.

Kind regards,

Carlos

Thanks Carlos, I don't think there's anything in Space Activity that would help (and I don't think I could turn it on given the warnings about performance). If it's not something readily available I can probably get by without it, but it would be nice to have!
