Making comments on a PDF in confluence

Hi I wanted to know how to make comments or note to a PDF that has been uploaded in confluence?  I had an Atlassian administrator show my team how to do it but never received the instructions

Hi @Dedra N Adams and welcome to the Community.

I don't think it's possible. The moment you click a PDF in the view mode, it opens.

If you for 'inline' display and highlight a section of the file name, the comment option is grayed out.

As a workaround, you may want to introduce the PDF with a short sentence such as 'See the following PDF file for details'

This will allow readers to comment on the text that's clearly associated with the attached PDF.

(there may be a 'hack' but have yet to discover it :) )
