Migration From RHEL6 to RHEL7

Jeff Kell January 24, 2019

So I'm looking at docs for confluence...
Current Version:  5.8.6      (RHEL6)
Downloaded:  6.11.0  (RHEL7)

Thinking I may want to ... first migrate (get same version 5.8.6 moved to RHEL7)... then attempt the upgrade.  What is the recommended approach?

As long as the version of Java in use remains supported, you're fine with this move. Doesn't matter which way round you do it.

Or, does it matter if I upgrade first on RHEL6... then later migrate to RHEL7?

Is there a difference?
