Mirror Macro permissions from space to space

Susan Mitchell July 20, 2022

I am using the mirror macro to allow access to certain pages within a different space. The author space has view restrictions. The pages I've mirrored to the "outside" space do not render. How do I adjust permissions on the mirrored pages to allow viewing in reader space without "opening up" the author space? Thanks!

Hi @Susan Mitchell , your running up against the permission scheme within Confluence. The macro's docs state the following:

All macros provided by Content Mirror for Confluence consider the (view) permissions of the mirrored content. In other words: A user can only see the mirrored content (on the target page) if the user has also view access to the source page (where the content is originally coming from). This makes sure that users cannot get access to restricted content via one of the macros.

So your only option is to allow view rights to the other page, but restrict the editing rights within the space.
