Move Confluence glossary page tree to Smart Terms

Our team has a glossary page tree (~800 pages) and we want to move all of them to a new space dedicated for Smart Terms. It looks like the only options to export a page tree are to HTML, PDF, or XML. Also, the only way to import to Smart Terms is by using the provided Excel template. However, exporting 800 pages to XML and then import it with Excel is quite cumbersome. The resulting XML is huge. Is there an easy way to extract just the titles and definitions from the XML, to add to the Excel for import? Or is there another way besides manual copy/paste?
