New to Confluence, How do I create a team space?

I just signed up for confluence and Im trying to watch a demo that has me create a "team space."  Im looking everywhere for this and cant seem to find it. Is my account restricted or not allowed to? Let me know if you can help. Ive been foloowing this process and Dont seem to have it in my menus....

Hi Zachary,

Since you mentioned you signed up for, rather than installing Confluence, I am guessing you are using Confluence Cloud. The link you posted is for Confluence server, so I am not sure.

I will post screenshots from both platforms to show where the menus are. It is also possible that you don't have "Create Space" permission, in which case you would need to contact an administrator of of your instance to grant the necessary Global Permission.

I noticed in Cloud that the Create Space button disappears if I am on the Your Work view but it is there in the Activity or Spaces view. Here it is in the Activity view:

After clicking the Create Space button, choose Team space in the dialog:

Here is the button in Confluence Server - it's on the top right near your profile pic, etc:

The next screen is much like on Cloud:
