OnDemand version of Confluence is ahead of stable downloadable releases rendering backup/import impossible

Atlassian OnDemand can only import Confluence space backups from the same major version of Confluence. The current Confluence OnDemand version is 5.0, so backups can only be imported from Confluence 5.0.x. The current stable version of downloadable confluence is 4.3.5. How can get my data from local confluence version 4.3.5 to the ondemand version of 5.0?

Hi James,

That's correct, but to work around that you can either upgrade your Confluence to the same version of Confluence OnDemand. But better do that on a separate instance, more detailed info is available in this documentation.
