Open links to filesystem location in confluence on firefox

Marco Stoffel June 14, 2018

Hi Community

Has anyone found a solution to have a hyperlink to a local folder like c:/this that can be opened by win explorer when clicked on a confluence page?

Firefox quantum 60.0.2

Have tried on of the browser plugin's but still don't see behaviour as expected..

Thanks for any hints

Hi Marco,

I did a research on this topic, and it seems as there isn't a standardized way of doing this that will work on all browsers.

However, there are few workarounds that can be applied, depending on your Confluence version, browser and the location of the file you'd like to access via a hyperlink.

Please refer to the link below and let me know if it was helpful for the task you're having.

Kind regards,

Nikola
