Page Layouts Resizing Reverts After Publishing

Kyle Taylor April 2, 2025

I have a 5 column layout feature I tried resizing to the maximum size; to make the pictures inside easier to size. After I published the page, the Layout reverted to it's original default smaller size.

Was this a consequence of the 9.4 Confluence release on 4/1/2025? I haven't had this issue prior to 4/1.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Looks to be resolved - not sure what changed but this is fine now!

I am not seeing it as resolved. For our team, it's a hit-or-miss situation. Some layout columns seem to be fine, and some revert back to the narrowest column version. No rhyme or reason. Watching this thread to see if there's an issue that's being investigated or a workaround.

I have the same issue. The changes to page layouts released in February are disappointing. The overall experience has worsened, making it more cumbersome than ever to add and update content using the layouts. Atlassian, please improve this!

They could vastly improve layouts to include more customizable width and spacing, borders (similar to what you can do with images), and better compatibility with other existing elements.

I just want to note, it affects all Layout Column types, not just 5 columns.
