If we have a parent page, and four pages below that how do I grant a user to all of those pages? If I just grant access to a parent page, do they automatically have access to the sub pages?
One fact to remember; there is page restrictions and there are space restrictions.
person A can be added to page restrictions but if they are not in a group that can see the space the page restrictions is moot.
Hi, @Chris Norton !
Yes, it is possible, it is called inherited page restrictions.
Look at documentation, please.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
The inherited page restrictions only has anyone can view/edit, all can view, some can edit, only restricted users can view/edit. It tells me nothing about parent/child relationships.
It says that the child page inherits the parent page restrictions. So does that mean if I add someone to the parent page, which has restricted view/edit then the child page is the same? I am just tired of having to add one person to every single page. I would like to add them to the parent page and have them be able to view the child page by default.

If we are talking about inheriting "view" restrictions - it is ok.
To check it on your case look at your child-pages, they should have the second padlock:

Well this helps me quite a bit. I appreciate the response. I thought "anyone can view" meant that anyone on the internet could view. But does this really mean anyone on my space? Maybe that's also where I get confused.
