As of today, all personal spaces are showing odd names.  Instead of the name of the user (Joe Smith), they are now showing "User 12345", "User 2234c", etc.

These were fine yesterday.

Any thoughts?

This is a result of changes implemented to meet the requirements of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Atlassian's cloud products.

Cool, but how do my users change their display names? Because they'd like to opt-in on being identifiable to each other.

Never mind. I see that the actual issue, which is that the user-### is displayed, is a known incident being tracked here, and not something that was an intentional change: https://confluence.status.atlassian.com/incidents/xx3084nmsk5b

We're having the same issue with our personal spaces. On Confluence Cloud.

Seems to have happened at 10:38 PM last night, based on the Activity page:
