We want to install the 'Taks Reminder' plugin to Confluence.(Task Reminder for Atlassian Confluence)
Before installation, we need to know some technical details:
1 the mail notification concurrency mechanism, if there are many task will be reminder, any potential risk for performance?
2 the buffer for the mail queue, if mail queue exceed the buffer, what will happen?
3 when reminder mail send failed, such as outag occurs, what's the actions when application recover?
4 any application configuration related with this plugin?
5 any potential performance risk with this feature?
thanks a lot
Hi,
1 the mail notification concurrency mechanism, if there are many task will be reminder, any potential risk for performance?
Its a scheduled job which runs once a day as default.
2 the buffer for the mail queue, if mail queue exceed the buffer, what will happen?
We use the "Atlassian Mail Queue".
The maximum amount of send mails per scheduled job execution is equal to the active Confluence user accounts, because every user recieves one e-mail at most.
3 when reminder mail send failed, such as outag occurs, what's the actions when application recover?
As we use the "Atlassian Mail Queue", the Confluence System is responsible to send the mails and handle failures.
4 any application configuration related with this plugin?
> Yes please take a look at the documentation
5 any potential performance risk with this feature?
> So far nothing is reported.
Hope that helps.
Best regards
Clemens
Hi Clemens,
Thanks a lot for your support.
At present, we've already installed the plugin on Confluence – version 1.1.6
But we encountered a bug:when the task starts with a url, that url is not included in the reminder.
It gave an error:More disk space needed at Bacula.
How can we handle this?
Thanks,
Meng

Hi Meng,
I will check this. What Confluence Version do you use?

Hi Meng,
we checked the plugin with tasks that start with a URL. We were unable to reproduce the bug.
Our Confluence Version was 5.8. Which Confluence version do you use?
Best regards,
Stefan

Hi Meng,
now we´ve checked the plugin with the confluence version 5.7.3 too. But we are still unable to reproduce the bug.
Best regards,
Stefan

task_reminder_missing_link.jpg
See the screenshot for an example. Often the ID's in front of the task descriptions are a link, and when in front of the task description the link text, thus our task ID ) is completely missing from the task reminder email.

Hi Meng,
thanks for the screenshots, we will check it with this task examples. We won't leave you alone, we only need to be able to reproduce it
Best regards
Clemens
