Presetting functionalities of the primary search box?

Alden Sova August 19, 2021

Is there a way to force the primary search box (top right corner in the dark blue top strip) to always search within the current space? Whenever my team wants to search only within the current space, they have to check the "current space" box that comes up when you open the search box. I know that a Live Search macro is the obvious choice but that is limited to 5 results, which is pretty useless in my case, I need more results than that. Thanks!

Hi Alden. No that isn't possible. There are various ways to search in Confluence. That search box is the simplest form of search, and is designed for quick and easy searching. If you want to apply filters to your search, you must use the Advanced search feature. This allows you to search withing a space.
