Hello team,

We have a setup with Confluence 6.4 in our environment and the database used is MySql running from past a year or so. Recently we migrated the database from MySql to Postgres. But after the migration, we didn't find any option to restore the theme configuration and plugins. There are almost 'n' number of plugins which we would like to import it to the new setup running on Postgres. I did read an article https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-questions/How-to-copy-plugins-add-ons-when-migrating-Confluence-between/qaq-p/189919 which says we need to do it manually but that's dated back in the year 2013.

Hi Ashwin,

When you use an XML backup to move between databases the user installed plugins are not included. The only way to migrate and move the plugins is to use native database tools, which can be difficult if you are not experienced with database administration.

I am afraid the user installed add-ons will have to be reinstalled if the XML backup/restore was used to migrate from MySQL to PostgreSQL.

Thanks,

Ann
