Protect pages with password - possible?

Hi All,

project leaders need to protect pages with password in Confluence.

I know that there can be restricted a page but our management leaders would like to store important passwords (e.g. database passwords, etc.) in Confluence. But hence they know that we administrators also can read these sensitive date they need a feature.

is there a something like this?? It would be so, like we admins also can see the page but only encrypted. If we add the pw we can then see the content.

Can you please hint a solution?

Diging out this question;

since I have found some add-ons and security pages for JIRA,

I haven't found anything yet for Confluence???

a) password-encryption for pages/ares?

b) password-encryption for custom fields and/or attachments?

c) whole database-encryption for db (i.e. PostgreSQL )?

Not really a solution but perhaps a workaround. Use something like "Keepass" to store the passwords and then upload the password file onto a page. The file can then only be opened if you know the "master password".

unfortunately there is no way to protect pages by using a password at the moment
