Hi,
I'm just starting with using Confluence, so my apologies in advance if this is a stupid question.
I'm trying to create a template. Something basic and simple.
I can get to the empty page where I can create my template.
I can make it, but when I press 'publish', I get back to the main overview page with all the templates on it, my new one hasn't appeared.
With the back keys, I can get back to my template design. It has lots it's title, but the context remains.
Trying to rename it and publish it again, leads to the same problem.

Hello @Elin Vanlierde and welcome to Community!
Do you know what kind of templates you've created? Space template or global template?
Let's say you've created a space template, does it appear in your Space settings > Content tools > Templates? It should look like this:
If your template does appear under "User created templates", then it's been correctly created. Next thing to check is where you create your new page: you need to check you create a new page in the space where the template has been created. When creating a page, you can choose the space:
New templates usually are at the bottom of the templates' list - have you scrolled down?
Let me know if this helps!

Hi Manon,
Thanks for the reply.
No, I can't see it there. That's part of the problem.
I have continued to play around with it and have figured out my problem might have something to do with me copying part of an existing page (with links and figures in it).
Because if I use plain text, or recreate the links, upload the figures etc. It does want to publish.
But it means a lot of hard work and repeating.
Isn't there an easy way to create a tamplate from an existing page you made?
Elin

You may be running into this bug: Copying content including an image into a template silently fails save, I'd suggest you to contact Atlassian support :)

Yep, this is exactly my error.
I feel slightmy less stupid now, but it doesn't solve my problem much.
Thank you anyway for the big help.
