Hello,
With our Group model, we don't need to have account for everyone because not everyone will be active on it, they only need to view pages.
We saw here we can setup access with IP address : https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/specify-ip-addresses-for-product-access/
We would like to know if we give a list of IP address, people still need to have an account to view (only) Confluence?
Thank you for your help,
Lorie
Welcome to the community!
Access via IP address and accounts for access are not related to each other. Access via IP limits (or allows) usage by what their IP address is. They still need accounts on the server to log into to be able to use it. Or you enable anonymous access so that anyone can see it (if you've not blocked the IP address they're using)
It's a possibility to get to confluence only from one IP address if the site is made available to the whole internet?
Is it possible to set some rules?
Trying to make a small FAQ for employees but without logging them into confluence.

You would need to ask your network people if they can do that if it is a Server install.

I want to do a free plan for jira service management with helpdesk app for teams - for three admins/agents it should be free?
I also want to create a wikipedia for employees but so that they don't have to create accounts or log in that's why I want to use confluence in the premium plan only for one person ( who would write wikipedia) and add the company address to the ip whitelist.
I understand that this way everyone with the ip given in the whitelist will see the wikipedia and people outside the company will not.
Do I understand this correctly? or i need to have premium plan also in jira service management?
JIRA and Confluence are on cloud
