Hi ,
I have confluence administrator access. I got a request to add template to reporter's wiki space. She shared template ID which comes under her space but is not visible under templates of that space now. Not sure If we are missing something.
I can create new template under her wiki space and copy the contents of template mentioned by reporter but the template id will be changed.
Reporter wants template with same Id as she mentioned in request to be added into her space.
How can I do this ?
Is it possible to get list of all user created templates in confluence ?
Hey @Sushmitha
where is the ID coming from and why is it so important to keep the ID? I'm not sure where templates are stored in the confluence database but I'm sure you can extract that information from the DB. The question is only how hard will it be and is it worth the effort.
If your task is to add a template to the space as a space template, fulfill it. I'm just questioning the point of wanting to keep the ID.
Best, Max
When I say ID ,It is entityID that we can see in URL when we open template.
She want to keep same ID as she will have to update the template IDs where she have specified to create a wiki page from this template..
Is it possible to find list of all user defined templates of different spaces in confluence ?

Hey @Sushmitha
Sorry, but I can't be much help here. Fiddling with IDs in general is risky, requires manipulation of the database, and from my experience, is not worth the effort. :/ Would have been faster the macros anyway by now. Nevertheless, a piece of advice from me. Create global templates and not space templates if you plan to share and reuse them. At least that's what I understood so far from your description.
