Hello
I want to create issue from confluence, using the macro.
But if i dont have the field "Description" in my issues i cant create issue using this macro !
i have the message : "Field 'description' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown."
It work if the field is not hide.
Is there a way to configure this confluence macro ?
Or a way to hide description on create transition in the workflow without scriptrunner ?
Hi @Hervé RANCHIN ,
Can you directly create ticket in jira without description field ? If no, then you need to check your jira project field configuration, make Description field as optional.
In Confluence, which macro are you using ?
Can you share your page screenshot in Edit mode and error message if possible.
yes the creation directly on jira works, the description field it not mandatory in the configuration. But i can't "hide" it from the creation screen from the confluence macro.

Seems Description field is not present in Jira project Create screen.
Please go to project settings --> Screens --> Expand the screen scheme against the Issue type, click on link mapped to Create Issue action. Check if Description field is present.

@Hervé RANCHIN
Description field in confluence macro is not mandatory. Ticket can be created without value for Description (unless it is mandatory in Jira).
Mandatory fields will have red Asterisk near the field name.
There is no option to remove the "Description" field from the confluence macro.

So its not mandatory, BUT you cant remove it ! or hide it even it's empty, i have to let it visible...
Isn't it like a bug ? But ok i get it. i cant do it this way , i have to make a macro hidding description field after creation and copy the values in commentary ...
