Am I able to configure the JIRA macro in confluence to automatically default to a preset table?

Sean Howe March 11, 2019

I want JIRA macro in confluence to automatically show KEY, SUMMARY, DUE DATE, ASSIGNEE, and STATUS without having to go in and edit the Display Options every time. Is this possible?

I'm also facing issues with this.  I also want to be able to edit the Jira single issue macro to show the fields I would like to see (including description) as this has our user story contents.

The best I've come up with so far is to:

  • Insert one issue with the table view and the columns I want
  • Then copy and paste it for the next issue.
  • Then edit the issue ID and ensure I select table view again (as it sometimes reset to single issue) this does keep the columns and order I had previously though.

Main two problems I have with this.

  1. This is still several steps more than I want to have compared to the create issue marco
  2. The issue no longer creates the Confluence link which is the most useful part of the Jira single issue macro.

@Genna Mitchell  this is exactly my work-around and I completely agree with the drawbacks of using this workaround. Hopefully there is a fix!
