Announcements in Confluence

I have seen this link in my Confluence home page and I wonder how does it work. Can we create announcements in Confluence? Are they simple pages tagged of some kind?

Hello @Joan Andreu Juan Torrens ~ click the Announcements button and you should see a "Customize" link which will allow you to add your announcement(s).  HTH

@Laurie Sciutti actually, clicking "Customize" takes me to a link to edit the global blueprint for the welcome announcement. Here, I can customize what the default announcement says...but I can't actually create new announcements.

Hi @Katie McDaniel ~ I think it may be tied to previous announcements made in the announcement banner (though I'm not sure because that requires Confluence Premium or Enterprise:  https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/configuring-an-admin-announcement-banner/ 

I've not been able to find additional information unfortunately....
