I'm new to JIRA and Confluence is integrated with it. Found some tools which are good to integrate for test case management on which some are paid.
Anyone, please suggest the best way for creating and maintaining test cases - whether creating a Page in Confluence like writing in a word doc or any free and best tool available for integrating with JIRA or Confluence? Thanks in advance!
You have multiple test case management tool for JIRA. I will suggest to choose in any of the below :

You can get good case studies for each of them to look in deeper how can you implement in your case.

@Prakhar Srivastav {Appfire} Thanks a ton for your quick response.
I see that the tools mentioned are paid and checking for any Free tools or how we can manage the test case with Confluence! as it is already integrated with JIRA.
Thanks!

I don't think Confluence will be an ideal choice for Test Management. It is more of wiki documentation tool. Better for reporting , you can check below add-on for reporting :
With JIRA adding issue types for Test cases gives a lot flexibility.
There are some free add-on for JIRA :

I don't mean to be problematic, but don't those free plugins just provide connectivity to other, separate commercial applications?

Hi @Rob Horan
Please consider trying our test management app - AIO Tests for Jira.
AIO Tests is housed inside Jira but doesn't make use of Jira issue types for test cases, executions, etc. It doesn't connect to any external tools or applications.

HI - thanks, but I'm not looking. My comment was regarding the desire to find a free tool. The responses mentioned free plugins, but those are just connectors to other paid applications, essentially negating the free aspect.

Hi @Rob Horan
Your observation is correct - most of the tools are indeed connectors to externally paid tools. I just wanted to put AIO Tests here for users who might be looking for similar requirements.
