Hi,
I need to archive pages in confluence which were created by other users in my company. How can I archive the pages without the users getting notifications for each page?
Thank you
Have you tried removing the page and/or Space watchers before archiving?
Hi,
No, since I'm not the space admin.
As I understand from here, the person who created the page will be notified when the page is archived regardless it they marked as watchers or not.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Oh thanks for pointing that out! I had read that documentation a while ago but forgotten about the page creator being notified.
I know that removing users as page/Space watchers allowed me to archive pages without them being notified. But as you've pointed out the creators of archived pages would still be notified.
To stop notifications being sent to page creators, the only thing I think might work would be to disable email and push notifications at the site level. I'd recommend only temporarily disabling notifications, so identify all the pages to archive, disable notifications, archive the pages, re-enable notifications. To disable email/push notifications at the site level:
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
