Hi,
I recently upgraded my confluence instance from v5.4 to v6.8.3 and it appears previously 'downloadable' and 'viewable' attachments can no longer be accessed (viewed or downloaded). However, there seems to be no errors in both catalina.out and attlasian-confluence.log files.
Does any one have similar issues or [proposed] Solutions?
Thanks
Hi Brics,
Please check the diagnosis on this page and proceed with the resolution if it applies:
How to resolve missing attachments in Confluence
Please let me know what method you used for the upgrade.
Cheers,
Ann
Hi Ann,
Yes I have. However the case is NOT that of missing attachments. The attachments are present and available on Confluence site.
Clicking on the links to the attachments fails but navigating to the location of the attachments on the Confluence site works.
The links point to the same path where the attachments are located and the links worked before the upgrade.
For the method of the upgrade, I'm not sure how many methods there are however, I jumped from 5.4 to 5.10 then from 5.10 to 6.8. Also, I migrated the data (after reaching version 5.10) from Postgresql-9.1 database to postgresql-9.6.
Cheers,

Hi Brics,
It sounds like you have located the attachments on the file system but Confluence links to the attachments do not work. This article describes a method for getting Confluence to "find" attachments which are present on disk: How to resolve missing attachments in Confluence

Hi @bricsadmins,
We are planning to upgrade our postgreSQL for JIRA from 9.2 to 9.5 . Could you please provide the pgsql upgrade process in detail. Thanks in advance.
Regards
Niran
