Automatic numbering deleted in exported PDFs

Automatic number works in Confluence, but when you export a space to PDF, the numbers all revert to '1'.

Automatic numbering seems to be a years-long problem that Atlassian is not addressing; anyone have a workaround?

Hi Tim, I would agree this sounds like a bug to me.  I took a look for something in Atlassian's Jira site (jira.atlassian.com) but I couldn't find anything specific.  

Has support weighed in on this?  Maybe they have a Jira number for it?  If you have steps to reproduce, I would think we can at least get a ticket & vote on it.

I have strong doubts that Atlassian has spent any meaningful time on this, and I don't believe they'll invest any time at all in the future.

I have the impression that they'd rather have their customers use plugins from the Atlassian Marketplace, in which case they reap the license revenue - not just for the number of users the customer requires, but instead for the entire org license count, which is breathtakingly unfair.

This is the case with us: we'd love to use Scroll PDF (which would appear to bypass the number list problem), as well as Scroll HTML, but would need these plugins for only 5 people in the company - but since our full org license count is 200+, the cost would be, from a cost-benefit point of view, astronomical. In other words, simply not worth the money. 

Perusing the forum has revealed quite a few customers who are very disappointed in the way Atlassian seems to ignore what would be, at least in this case, problems that are easy to fix. 

I'm not holding my breath that Atlassian will do anything about this, despite the number of people who complain about it. They're too big and rich, and believe they have bigger fish to fry.
