Better way to display excel?

When we've embedded excel spreadsheets in confluence (cloud) they never come up looking like a spreadsheet. It shows like a PDF with no gridlines instead of showing, what I think would be more valuable, the worksheet grid view.

Is this just the way it is, or is something strange going on for us?

Hi Deborah,

I assume you are embedding the excel. Try bordering the excel before embedding, that sometimes solves the issue,

if you are Ok with Add-ons you can try Excellentable for Confluence.
You will be able to import and edit spreadsheets right inside confluence with this plugin.

I'm not sure about embedding, I'm just using the file attach option, then click on the link to open it and it looks like that.

Yes, just attaching.

Try adding all borders before attaching to the confluence page. Here is a comparison

Sheet Imported

Attached to Confluence with Insert-->File&Images
Note the slight margins of below table disappear, but remain in the above table "All borders"

Excellentable Attach
Shows the complete spreadsheet editable within confluence

Thanks Shardal, I appreciate you trying to help, but I think really that it has just answered my question - there's no decent option in confluence natively. Confluence seems to make it's own page breaks where-ever it likes and doesn't honour the spreadsheet settings.

I am reluctant to do it via plug in, I'll see what the appetite is to spend for such a feature.
