Is there a way to add number of Blog posts to the columns displayed in the <<Contributors Summary Macro>>

Both Edits and Last update only picks up Page based activity, not Blog posts.

is this a new feature we need?

Just to clarify - I know I can select EITHER Pages or Blog Posts t be shown, but I really want an option to show Pages AND Blog posts in the one listing so I don't have to create two listings

In our Server version 7.2.1, even when I leave the selection BLANK , it is only showing Page based activity

According to Documentation https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf72/contributors-summary-macro-982323096.html
Blank should show both pages and blog .. but it is only showing pages

In fact even if I set it to show Blogposts - the listing is totally empty!

I posted a Blog last November

first image is set to pages

as pages.png

second is set to blog posts .. note TOTALLY blank with no Users listed at all

as blog posts.png

third is set blank .. exactly same as set to pages

I would suggest this may be a bug.  Alternatively, there is something about blogposts that are treated or calculated differently.  I've tried to recreate your issue and I couldn't get it to work either.

Further info can be found here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-55448 which seems to cover your desired scenario.
