CSS issues with fresh installation of Confluence 7.6.0

Hi All,

Just installed a fresh version of confluence using the inbuilt DB and straight away there are page formatting issues.  looking at the dev tools in chrome I can see that batch.css is not loading correctly, which explains why the page looks like a HTML page from the 80s :)

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the product thinking this was maybe a freak issue but I have the same problem again.

I have searched the install and data dirs for batch.css however this file does not exist.

Any ideas?

With information you have provided it is pretty difficult to predict about issue. Here are few questions that might help in better diagnosis,

1. What OS you are dealing with?
2. Did you see any error in Confluence logs (located inside Confluence Home)?
3. What browser you are using and have you tried it with different browser (along with cache clear etc)?

Now coming to batch.css,

• There are multiple batch resources in Confluence
• Batch doesn't tell that which file, it is cumulative resource file generated.

Hi There,

OS is RHEL8

Logs:

/opt/application-data/confluence/logs/atlassian-confluence.log - this log isn't showing anything when i load the home page of confluence, id does show periodic info but this is more related to scheduled tasks.

Looking through the log the only errors I can see are trying to connect to the marketplace.

ok interestingly this is only happening in chrome...  Just fired up firefox and it looks good. (little embarrassed I didn't try this before)

Will have a closer look and post what I find
