When I create #1 — Design spec, I want to automatically create other sub-pages (1.1 to 1.3) by using respective templates. Is this possible?
I'm perfectly okay even if I can create one of the 3 pages (Hand-off checklist).
Sadly, you can't do this without adding an app from the marketplace.
My advice would be to create a template at some point and copy forware the template with all childs.

I agree with Dominic, ie creating pages (Parent and childs) using template and copy them over to a space where it is needed, is the best approach.

@Dominic Lagger Alright. When you say 'copy forward the template with all children' do you mean manually creating a child page by using the template?
OR
You can create a template that auto-creates a main page + child page (from same template)?

Let's say you have this page tree:
Then you can copy the "Design spec" page and choose "with children" and copy the whole page tree.
