When I add the 'Blog Posts' macro to a page, it displays the blog title and the name of the person who most recently updated it. I want it to show the name of the original author (i.e. the person who first clicked 'publish' on it). Is there a way to change this?
Example: I have a profile page on Confluence which shows information about my colleague 'Alex'. We want to list Alex's blog posts. When I use the macro, I get the correct list, but some of them list 'Sam' as the author, because Sam made a couple of modifications to Alex's original post - when I click in, I can see that Alex is the author, but it looks confusing on Alex's page because it says the author is Sam.
Just to confirm, are you referring to this Blog Posts macro?
Because this macro will display only the author (created by) and not contributors.
In fact, you can also display only blog posts created by a specific user.
Yes, that's the one we're using. We have restricted it to show the posts from a particular group of users (let's call it Group A).
When I view the blog posts, most of them are fine, but there are a couple like the one below:
Ryan is not in Group A, so I thought that it was incorrectly showing this post. However, when I click into the post, I can see that it was actually created by Louisa-Jane, who IS in Group A:
So it's correct for the post to show, but it should show Louisa-Jane's name rather than Ryan's (in fact, I can't see that Ryan has had anything to do with the page at all).

@Sharon Gilmore So it shows Ryan in the output of the macro, but Louisa-Jane on the blog when you open it?
I was originally thinking that Ryan copied the page (which changes the owner, but not necessarily the creator?), but I'm not sure on this, since the actual page shows the original created by person.
Maybe Ryan was the one who published the page as a blog? I'm not sure if/why this would affect the macro output.
Just throwing out ideas. I can't find any related questions in the community.

Yes, Ryan is shown in the macro output, but LJ's name is on the actual blog post when I view it.
When I go to advanced page details, LJ's name is there for Owner, Creator and Last Changed By.
On the page history, it shows that there's only one version of the page, and that Ryan has made changes, but I can't see what those changes are. I made a change to see if my name appeared in the macro, but it didn't - it still says Ryan is the author.

@Sharon Gilmore Looks like it's an edge case, I checked and there was a similar bug happened in the past although the issue was closed with no resolution.
