Hi community,
I want to know how the share option with Slack works in detail.
If I share a confluence page in Slack. Will all users in this slack channel have access to this confluence page even if they have no confluence account?
In general the slack users should only have read access, because we want to use this as knowledge base for suppliers and retailers. We don't want to use guest accounts, because the account management would be too complex for our situation.
If this doesn't work. Are there any other apps or solutions for such a use case?
Hi @Lisa
You can share the public link of your page : here is the link to the documentation

Hi @Cyrille Martin
do you have any experience with public links?
Our management currently rejects the use of public links, as they fear that otherwise everyone (also competitors) will access the content.

Indeed, the public link will be accessible to anyone having the link.
To go further, specially if your slack users are part of your company, you can look at this app : External Share (Secure Share) for Confluence
