Can only log in as sysadmin

Judd Williams October 27, 2021

I am able to log into Jira with my usual credentials.  The same account is tied to Confluence.

I am able to log into Confluence as sysadmin but any other user gets the following error:

>>>

The following error(s) occurred:

  • Sorry, an error occurred trying to log you in. Please try again.

<<<

Logging in as sysadmin I get the following message at the top of the page:

>>>

You no longer have access Support and Updates. Renew onlineremind me later or never remind me again.

<<<

Is it related?

Please help.

Hi,

check your product subscriptions in your admin panel. I assume, that you have missing licenses to use confluence.

Hi Emer,

We have a Confluence Server license running version 6.7.1. I did not find the 'product subscriptions' page in the admin panel.  What I did find is 'License Details'.  It says "Confluence support and updates for this license ended on Jul 30, 2018. Confluence updates created after Jul 30, 2018 are not valid for this license".  We have been using Confluence without support since then and without any major issues.  I'm not sure why we are not able to log in all of a sudden,  I do not see anything indicating a subscription period on the license other than for support.

Managing your Confluence License | Confluence Data Center and Server 7.14 | Atlassian Documentation

"If you have a Confluence Server license, your maintenance entitles you to access Atlassian support, and upgrade Confluence.

When your maintenance expires, you can still use Confluence, but you'll no longer be able to contact Atlassian support, or upgrade to a version of Confluence released after your maintenance expiry date."
