Afternoon all,

I want to know if it's possible to create a shortcut to a page that is a page itself, and not simply a link within a page.

For example, I have a page with content that needs to go under multiple places in the hierarchy. I don't want to have to maintain multiple copies of the same page though.

I'm hoping there's a way to create the root page, and then where necessary in the rest of the hierarchy, create a page that is just a link to the root page. That way, I can create a page that is actually sourced from another page, and not simply a copy of the original page.

I see how to copy pages, create a link within a page, import/export to external docs, etc., but not what in Linux (for example) would be a soft link using ln.

Thanks,

GT

If you just want to re-use content (or part of it) from 1 page as a source, then you can use the excerpt macro. Here are the doc for this feature: https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/excerpt-macro-148062.html

Note: for Confluence Cloud users there is easier way to do this, with include page macro: https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/insert-the-include-page-macro/
