It appears that the edit page action simply doesn't work, I selected my space and the page I want the edit to apply to. It throws an error every time I try to run the automation. I also have no unpublished drafts at all. Much help would be appreciated!
Hi @astroud -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Do you have any deactivated users who may have pending drafts to the page? If those exist you may not be able to see them:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-35921
Kind regards,
Bill
Thanks for the response! Only I can see this space and edit it and I have been the only one creating any pages and such, so I don't believe that is the issue.

I could imagine this being a timing problem if the page was updated and then soon after the rule triggered with the button. (Perhaps using a manually triggered rule from a page also enters an edit state?)
I did not find any defects in the public backlog for this symptom, so I recommend working with your Site Admin to submit a ticket to Atlassian Support to take a look:

When you hear back from them, please post what you learn to benefit the community. Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestion! I ended up talking to support and said they discovered a new bug that occurs when a page has been reverted to a previous version.
They also said that on the bug, you can find two different workarounds you can use in the meantime
Option 1: Replace the page that has been reverted with a brand new page.
Option 2: Use the WebRequest actions with the Confluence Cloud REST API to gather the existing content, and insert the desired edit.
They created a bug report too.

I personally tried to create a new page and do it again and it still wasn't working but I only tried that once so I'll have to try that out again to see if it works.
