We create announcements for our internal users and use a content by label macro with reverse sort by 'creation,' so the most recent announcements show up at the top.
We've found that even though we publish an announcement on a specific date, it will show in the list of announcements according to when it was initially created, not published.
It would be helpful to add a "Publish Date" option for sorting since we create pages and then tool/revise them long before publishing sometimes.
That option isn't available under the Content by label macro. One item you could try is adding a page properties macro to each of your blog posts. Add a hidden property called "Published Date" to the page and set that to when you actually publish the article.
Then, instead of using the Content by label macro, insert a "Page Properties Report" macro. If you've set it up correctly, the Page properties report macro will allow you to sort based on Publish date!
Thanks for the workaround, @Kian Stack Mumo Systems
