i have a trouble with the Widget connector i.e. by adding a Video or Twitter stream to any site in confluence. In the Webbrowser console i became an "500 internal Server" error.
by adding a Video, in the widget connector popup, the preview shows only an Grey gear Icon.
by adding a twitter stream, i can see the preview, but after click on the button "insert", nothing happens. the site would be autosave, but when i make another Change (add text), the Save button persists grey and not functional.
Hi Georg,
Does this occur with any Youtube video or Twitter stream?
You said this occurs with any site; do have several Confluence instances running? What version are they on, so I can test with this?
Thank you!
Regards,
Shannon
Hy Shannon,
thank you for your fast answer.
Yes, this occur with any youtube video or twitter stream.
WIth any site i mean the pages :( Sorry, for my bad wording ;)
After further tests we have with have problems with several macros (Widget Connector, Content Report Tables' ...)
Can this happen with my migration from Version 6.0.1 (Windows 2008R2 + MSSQL) to 6.6.1 (CentOS 7 + MySQL)?
I've followed the migration path.

I don't think that would affect it, Georg.
Are you able to see what's going on in the Confluence Server Logs when you try to do this?
Are you behind a proxy or firewall? Are you able to bypass the proxy and test if it works?
Does the problem occur on several browsers?

Shannon

yeah, but i cant interpret the logfile :( can you give me support? i can deploy the logfiles on my webserver.
The firewall was completely deactivated and i'm not behind a proxy.
the problem occurs in every browser.
Greetings,
Georg

Georg,
You won't need to interpret the logfile yourself, I just need to see what it says. You can have your server admin tail the logs while you're generating the error at the same time. Then, any lines that you see that start with ERROR, along with the "caused by" statement will help. You can pass those along in reply to this thread and it will help explain why you're getting the 500 error.
The 500 error just means there was "some kind of problem" but it cannot be more specific than that, so Confluence may have more details.

Shannon

Georg,
Thank you!
So I see the same error over and over again, and it's the exact same as here:
Do you happen to be on Linux Red Hat? You could try the workaround listed there and see if you can get around it, but I would also suggest trying to clear the Confluence Plugin Cache.
Do let me know if you have any trouble with that or any questions.
Kind Regards,
Shannon
