Hello
I installed the latest version of Confluence 7.6 on a own hosted windows server.
As i wanted to add a new user now with the admin login, i get following error message:
com.atlassian.confluence.core.InsufficientPrivilegeException: User [admin] does not have the required privileges.
at com.atlassian.confluence.user.DefaultUserAccessor.addMembership(DefaultUserAccessor.java:225)
How can i solve this? Its the first thing i wanted to do after fresh install. admin should have all privileges to create a user or? If not, where can i set the full rights?
Thank you,
Steve
Hi @Stefan G. ,
Hope referring the below link resolves your issue,
Hi Asha
Thank you for the reply. Indeed, i deleted the confluence-users group and after creating this again, it works.
Is there somehow a possibilty to set another group as default, so that i can delete the confluence-users group?
Thank you,
Steve

Hi @Stefan G.
It is a good news, Great!
Confluence-users group is basic group within confluence application and is unchangeable as per my understanding. You may seek advise on this from Atlassian raising support request.

Hi Asha
Thx for your reply.
As its not changeable, it should not be deletable in my opinion.
But thx anyway, main subject here is solved.
Have a nice day,
Steve

Hi @Stefan G.
Ofcourse we can delete group but it is not editable thats what I meant as unchangeable. And to make a group default we have to set in both Global and space permissions accordingly.
Thank you too
Have a nice day! :)
