I'm utilizing the Cards macro with the "Card type set to "Dynamic". Sometimes, when the page loads, it will show 3 blank cards, indicating "Nothing here yet. Check back soon.", and other times it will load cards, but the spacing within the cards is wonky.
The configuration of the macro has a single filter on labels:
I tried searching the forums and Google, but couldn't find any info on this issue.
Here's how it looks depending on how the page loads.
Cards with no data:
Cards with data, but wonky spacing:
EDIT:
So it appears to be displaying cards more consistently now. I'm assuming maybe it needed to cache the data. Seems a bit crazy to have to wait several hours to confirm that what you're creating actually displays the way you want...
Anyway, now that the cards are rendering, the next thing that we noticed was that the formatting from the pages where the cards are pulling data is stripped down. This changes the look & feel of the content. The formatting should persist to the cards, even if that means less content fits in the cards. Maybe this could be an option in cases where it doesn't matter as much.
Hi @Gary Spross
I've not had any issues with Cards not loading, I can however confirm the spacing issue.
It has to do with the number of rows of the page title. Completely agree, that this should be consistent regardless the specific contents of the target page.
Thanks @Rebekka Heilmann _viadee_ . I'm not sure what the issue was with the card details loading, but that seems to have fixed itself after giving it some time.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one with the formatting issue. Having the formatting alter like this really decreases the effectiveness/usability of this macro in my opinion.

Some progress on understanding...
Apparently the data display within the cards doesn't play nicely with macros that may exist on the pages being referenced. In my case, all of the cards that had formatting issues were due to macros such as table of contents or excerpts existing at the top of the page. The data display function for the cards should be able to handle this. Best bet would be for data from any macros to be excluded from the description being displayed.

Again - pretty sure the spacing problem is due to the page titles being shown in one or two lines. That would match my experience and your screenshot.
Macros on the target page are def. not an issue in my case but wouldn't go as far as saying it's not an issue at all ;)

Yeah, I think it's a combination of both.
For example, on the 2nd card from the left, along the top row, notice how the title is moved down by 1 line compared to the other cards along that top row. There is an excerpt macro on that page.
If I remove the macro, the title ends up aligning properly (update to page moves it to be the first card).
The 3 cards with misaligned titles on the bottom row have the table of contents macro (the first 2) and an excerpt macro (the third card). Otherwise those would align, along the top, with the 4th cards title even with the 4th card having a title that goes to a 3rd line.
