Is it possible to cascade permissions from parent pages to child pages? I have permissions set to allow certain individuals to edit pages, and when I want to add/remove, I need to apply this to all pages. Would love to apply it to the parent page and have it cover all child pages. Is this possible?
Permissions are done at a space level, not page, so the same rules apply to every page in a space.
You can then place "restrictions" on pages, of which there are two types:
Read restrictions limit the users who can see the page (a sub-set of those who can read the page because the space permissions say they can), and these cascade down to child pages.
Edit restrictions limit the users who can edit (again, to a sub-set of those who can edit because they are granted it by the space permissions). These do NOT cascade down to child pages
Thank you @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- ,
These do NOT cascade down to child pages
Except installing certain plugins, are there some alternatives or workarounds to overcome this strong limitation?
