** Removing post
Hi @Steven Lloyd ,
So, based on space permissions and content restrictions users should not be able to access the page, and yet they can? Or is it just that this content displays in advanced search, but they cannot access it?
We'd need more information, such as current restrictions set on the content/page and how space permissions for this/other users are configured.
Note that this is a public forum, so you need to be aware of which info you're sharing.
If the data is confidential, I recommend reaching out to Atlassian Support and granting them access to the data so they can investigate the issue firsthand.
Cheers,
Tobi

Hi Tobi
I removed my original comment and response following on from your "Public Forum" note just to be completely away from the situation.
To advise as I had reached out to Support for further information on the issue, Atlassian have confirmed when Proxying the advanced search functionality within Confluence holds the permissions of the user who is doing the proxy (Admin) and not the permissions of the user that is being proxied in as. This is why I was able to see elevated spaces/pages that the user should not have been able to see
Cheers
Steven
