Hi community,
got an issue suddenly that Confluence is showing $username instead of the actual username in certain places (not everywhere...).
For example, the user profile macro now looks like this:
Page history is also useless at the moment, cause it looks like this:
Checking the underlying links... they look screwed up too:
https://*******/pages/$contextPath/display/~$htmlUtil.urlEncode($username)
(no... the *** are not in there :P)
Any idea where this is coming from? How can I fix this issue?
Hi all,
Just an update regarding this issue — this is a known issue introduced in Comala Document Management version 7.10.1.
I'm happy to share that the issue has been resolved in the latest release, version 7.10.2. If you’re experiencing this problem, we recommend updating to the latest version to apply the fix, then clear the plugins cache by following the procedure from https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-clear-the-apps-plugins-cache-in-confluence-data-center-297664846.html as @Arif Demir suggested.
Thanks to everyone who reported and helped us identify it quickly. If you have any questions or run into anything else, feel free to reach out through https://appfire.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/11
Best regards,
Oliver

Hi @dominicfinke ,
unfortunately, I cant provide you with a fix for the problem.
Have you checked if your user directory is working alright? If you have a test instance of confluence, maybe try to reconnect the directory or disable / enable the directory.
Also, maybe your network logs from your browser could provide some informationen, why confluence is unable to resolve the usernames.
Best,
Erik
