Database - Email field type

When I enter an email address into a 'Smart link' type field it has "https://" prepended to it. This link can not then be selected to send an email. We either need 'Smart link' to be smarter and recognise an email address vs a web address or add an 'Email link' type field.

Completely agree.  Databases are so limited at the moment.

@marc -Collabello--Phase Locked- Databases is a relatively new feature, so hopefully it will mature over time as we provide our feedback. As it currently stands it is still a very useful feature and I look forward to the improvements.
