Details view is gone (?!)

A couple of days ago, when you went into a database entry in card view when you clicked on a card you would get another panel that opened next to the card and revealed all the details for that entry. Now it's gone...or am I doing it wrong?

Great to know I'm not the only one.

I'm assuming my post yesterday has the same cause as yours: The new on-hover functionality to add rows and columns between cells supersedes any other hover events in database views.

In effect, this removes the following functionality:

  • View Entry Details
  • Delete Entry
  • Resize Column Width
  • Copy Entry Link and thereby:
  • Embed individual entry into a Confluence Page

Haven't received any feedback from Atlassian here or the Confluence Databases Help Center.

Thanks for confirming @Remi  There is now a little box with an arrow to expand to full detail view that shows up on top of the database. You have to close/open the view every time you select a new card. However, when you have a large database, you have to scroll back all the way to the top to click the arrow. Not pragmatic at all. What was great with the previous build , you just selected any card and you had the details.

Can confirm the upper button to expand to full detail.

I primarily used the table view in which this button only shows when the entire row is selected. Four hours ago the select row button was not showing on mouse hover. It does again now! Seems they fixed some things.

Thanks for the tip, @Claude 🙌

Hi @Claude and welcome,

probably you are talking about card in a board referred to JIRA and not confluence.

If so, please verify that "Open issue in sidebar" option is enabled

Hope this helps,

@Fabio Racobaldo _Herzum_ No not Jira, the question was posted in Confluence Databases community and I’m asking a question about Confluence Databases (clearly mentioned in my post). Somehow my question was moved out of the Databases group even though it was visible on that board for a day.
