Hi,
I am looking for advice on whether there is a plugin that I could use to add a drop down box (containing a defined dataset) to a page properties field, where i could set the option to select one or many items from the drop down. Any guidance would be appreciated
I suggest trying out our Handy Macros for Confluence. It is a bundle of different macros, among others, and there is an opportunity for you to add status drop-downs, timestamps, and date pickers. Once inserted on the page, statuses and dates can be changed directly in the view mode. It also works nicely with the page properties and page properties report, meaning once content is changed, it is updated consistently everywhere.
You can try the app for free to see if it fits your use cases well.
Cheers,
Anastasia
much appreciated Anastasia, we have just trialled and purchased the table filters and charts macro from Stiltsoft, so this would seem a good fit

Sure, in our documentation, we also have some pro tips on how the apps can be combined together. The article and the short video can come in handy too, as well as you're always welcome to book a live demo to see app in action tailored to your use cases.

OK, just trialling this macro at present and not sure that it is what we are looking for. Just want something not related to status format where I can define any of the following as part of a drop down list that can be selected from (as in excel)
Plain Text or URL
either select a single or multiple entries as a comma separated list
any more suggestions from you good people out there?

Hey @Craig.Harley,
This is actually part of Databases for Confluence, which are in beta now. Databases improve on page properties in just about every way. I'd recommend checking them out.
